The Free plan consent, and how to withdraw it

What the box at Free sign-up means, who it covers, how to withdraw, and what withdrawal does to a Free account.

The Free plan is provided in return for a marketing consent. At sign-up the box is unticked, and the sentence beside it reads exactly:

I agree to receive marketing from Not a Chain and its partners about business growth and advertising services, by email and phone. Unsubscribe any time.

The words "its partners" link to the partners page, which names them.

It covers you, the shop owner, as a business contact: email and phone, including recorded or automated voice calls, about services that help a business grow or advertise. Never text. It does not cover your members in any way; their numbers are used only for your club.

To withdraw, press Withdraw marketing consent on your Account page, press the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, reply "stop" to one, say "stop" on a call, or email hello@notachain.com.au from your account address. Withdrawal is recorded at once and passed to the partners.

Because the consent is what Free costs, withdrawing while on Free leaves the plan running only until the current Melbourne month is out. Pick Regulars or Local Favourite from Pricing, or tick the consent again on your Account page, and the account carries on; do neither and the Free plan ends with the month. Paid plans never carry the consent: moving up from Free withdraws it the moment the paid plan starts, so there is nothing to withdraw on Regulars or Local Favourite. The full wording and the record we keep are on the consent page.
