For greengrocers and delis
A card for the twice-a-week shop that keeps a fruit shop alive
Greengrocers and delis see the same people more often than almost any other shop, two or three times a week for some. That makes a short card fill fast and a reward feel frequent. Counter Club lets you stamp with a wet thumb and tell the club when the mangoes arrive.
Nonna Rosa Fruit and Deli
One stamp per visit over $10. Ten earn $10 off your next shop.

What gets in the way for greengrocers and delis
Frequent small spends
A $14 bag of veg three times a week. Stamp per visit over ten dollars and a ten-stamp card fills in a month, which is the right pace.
Produce is the news
First strawberries, last mangoes, the good tomatoes. A text to the club on Local Favourite is the modern version of the chalkboard outside.
Paper does not survive the shop
Wet hands, paper bags, a till with no room. A mobile number across the counter is cleaner than any card.
A worked example
Greengrocer work, with Counter Club
A fictional shop, Nonna Rosa Fruit and Deli, sets the card at 10 stamps for $10 off the next shop. One stamp per visit over $10. The QR is on the scales. In six weeks 300 households join, because the same faces are in daily. On Local Favourite the owner texts twice a month, always about produce: "First Kensington Pride mangoes are in, trays $28 this weekend." Members fill cards every day, and the owner's rule for staff is to take the ten dollars off the moment the code shows. Nine members have opted out across the year, each marked and never texted again.
Questions from greengrocers and delis
Will ten stamps be too quick for a daily shopper?
A daily shopper fills a card in two weeks and gets ten dollars off. On a spend of over $100 in that fortnight, that is a fair thank you. Raise the target to 15 if it feels too quick.
Can staff stamp from the scales computer?
If it has a browser and is signed in to your account, yes. Keep the Members page open on it during the day.
Should a deli and the fruit side share a card?
One card per shop, so yes. Make the rule per visit so both count.

Setting the card takes two minutes. The first fifty members are free, paid for by a marketing consent instead of a card, and the card runs in full from day one.
