The stamp card
A stamp card you set in two fields
The whole programme is two settings on the Loyalty card page: the number of stamps that earn the reward, and the reward itself in your words. Save, print the QR that sits under it, and the card is live at your counter.
Two settings, no menu to get lost in
Stamps to earn the reward is a number from 2 to 50. The reward is a line of text up to 200 characters: a free coffee, a free loaf, a sixth bunch on us. Both appear on the join page in one sentence, the reward in lower case, so customers know the deal before they type a number.
- Target from 2 to 50 stamps, 10 if you leave it
- Reward written in your own words
- Shown to customers on the join page
Changing the card later
Edit either field and press Save. Members keep every stamp they already have. If you lower the target below a member's current count, their next stamp fills the card and mints the reward. If you raise it, they have further to go. Tell regulars when you change the deal; it is their card too.
What a stamp is
One press of the Stamp button is one stamp. There is no rule about what earns one; that is your call and your staff's. The two rules that work at a counter are per visit and per item in a category. Keep the rule simple enough to say in one breath across the counter.
What the card does not do
It is stamps only. There are no points per dollar, no tiers, no expiry dates on stamps, and no second card for a second product. If you need two different deals, run the simpler one. A card people understand beats a scheme they have to ask about.
Questions about the stamp card
Can I run points instead of stamps?
No. Counter Club is a stamp card: a count that fills to a target and resets. Points per dollar are not offered.
Do stamps expire?
No. A stamp stays on a member's card until it is used towards a reward. If you want a deadline, say so on your counter sign and stamp accordingly; the software does not enforce one.
Can I have more than one card?
One card per shop. Pick the deal that covers most visits.
Put the QR by the till this week
Setting the card takes two minutes. The first fifty members are free, paid for by a marketing consent instead of a card, and the card runs in full from day one.
