Reward codes: how they are made

What the six-character code is, when it appears, where it is listed, and how to hand over the reward.

When a press takes a member's count to your target, Counter Club creates a reward code for that member and resets the card. The code is six characters from letters and numbers, with look-alike characters such as 0 and O left out so it can be read across a counter.

You see it in two places. Next to the Stamp button, as "Reward earned" followed by the code, at the moment it is minted. And in the Rewards waiting column on the member's row, where it stays until the reward is used.

Hand over the reward at the counter, usually on the visit the card fills. If the member would rather save it, the code sits on their row for next time; they do not have to remember it because you have it. A member can hold more than one waiting code if they filled the card twice before claiming.

Press Mark used beside the code when you hand the reward over: it leaves Rewards waiting and cannot be claimed a second time. Hand the reward over as soon as the code appears and nothing is left waiting. A code carries the reward text as it stood when the card filled, so later changes to your reward do not affect it.
